  • This is the gathering of the Wandjina. This is the beginning of the building up of the wet season. They are bringing in the lightning man to build up thunder and lighting, they are talking to them. Anyone in the land that is mucking around with the culture the lightning man is there. You know when the horses are running around and the stockmen crack their whip to tame the horses, this lightning man is like that. On the right is the thunder man and the lightning man is on the left. I hope this picture can travel to bring the message to other people about worshiping the Dreamtime spirits, the rainmaker (Wandjina) and the Wunggurr or watersnake and hopefully it might give them rain in places they might need water. Everywhere we see drought, drought, drought and people fighting over water like the Murray darling. Water is for sharing.
