Sherika was born at Derby Regional Hospital. She is a Ngarinyin woman from the Brremarra Clan. I lived at Kupungarri Community for most of my life. I have three children and now live at Mowanjum Community. I am an emerging artist and I’m also a traditional singer for our Cultural song that we call Junba. I work in the Archive area here at the Art Centre.
Fremantle Arts Centre is situated at Walyalup on Whadjuk Nyoongar Boodjar. We acknowledge the Whadjuk people as the traditional owners and custodians of these lands and waterways and extend our respect to their Elders, past and present.
