Olive Lawson

Olive was born in the bush near Kanpi in South Australia and grew up in Warburton with her two sisters. She did all her schooling in Warburton and raised her 5 children there as well. Her eldest daughter, Jasmine was born in Blackstone and often paints alongside her mother in the art centre.

Olive has been painting for a long time with the Warburton Arts Project but when that closed she found other ways to keep herself busy. She loves spending time with her family and travelling around her country. Olive travels between Warburton and Blackstone frequently and whenever she is staying in Blackstone she always comes into the art centre to paint.
