Margaret Juana Cotchilli is a young Aboriginal woman from the Central Desert area of Australia. The grandaughter of renowned artist, Rene Kulitja, she sold her first work through Maruku Arts in 2017. She says she loves painting: ‘I feel connected to my culture and family through painting’.
Fremantle Arts Centre is situated at Walyalup on Whadjuk Nyoongar Boodjar. We acknowledge the Whadjuk people as the traditional owners and custodians of these lands and waterways and extend our respect to their Elders, past and present.
