Cheyene Phillips

Cheyenne Phillips was born in Wickham Hospital in the Pilbara region of Western Australia in 1999. I am the second eldest to Sheryl Hicks and father Brian Phillips. I have two sisters and four brothers. I am a Ngarluma & Yindjibarndi woman indigenous to the Pilbara region. I have lived all over the place from the city to small mining towns before moving back home to the heart of the Pilbara. Every country side is different, unique and full of life. I really enjoy capturing the differences of each countryside as well as the beauty it holds, especially when the seasons change. I have just started painting and learning all the different styles and I am still figuring out which best suits me.

Fremantle Arts Centre is situated at Walyalup on Whadjuk Nyoongar Boodjar. We acknowledge the Whadjuk people as the traditional owners and custodians of these lands and waterways and extend our respect to their Elders, past and present.
