Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre
Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre is the creative hub for the Worrorra, Ngarinyin and Wunumbal tribes who make up the Mowanjum Community which lies 10km outside of Derby in the West Kimberley of Western Australia. The three tribes are united in their belief of the Wandjina, the sacred ancestral spiritual beings who created the land and to this day control the elements, the flora and fauna, and the humans.
These three language groups are custodians of Wandjina Wunggund law.
